sorry, we met some divers in bonaire that had been to phuket in 2006, after the dec 26, 2004 tsunami hit and they told us there was very severe damage to the reef. guess they were mistaken. we had been delaying going because of that report.

Veem, it's amazing how many times we have customers who will tell me exactly the same thing and so are amazed how good things are when they dive here. Always get a second (or third, fourth or even fifth) opinion. Lots of people like to big up their tsunami 'experiences'.

Don't forget you can also dive Burma by liveaboard from Phuket too with a 10 night trip.
