Standardizing regs for my tech setup will certainly be a future consideration. For the majority of my local non tech diving, I'm very happy with what I use today.

Can you share what your "standardized" reg setup is? From what I have learnt to date, if you are going to use a reg for O2, it needs to be rated and prepped for O2 use. Assuming as you suggested you needed to do a repair in water, is your current primary 1st and 2nd stage 100% rated O2, 80% rated O2 or some other rating?

Thanks.

I use apex DS4/XTX50's for back gas. I have 2 Sea Elite XO6's (same as the new Salvo reg) set up as deep and intermediate deco regs and/or stage regs and an OMS deco reg for O2. Everything is more or less "O2 clean" (viton rings and christolube) but I am not too anal about my regs. I think the O2 cleaning on regs goes a little overboard. I would not hesitate to run 100% through any of them. The reason I keep my OMS as an O2 reg is because it is an unblanaced reg, so it doesn't breathe as well at depth. If I had any kind of failure topside I could reconfigure things from any of these regs to get the dive going. If I had a failure underwater I could hot swap pretty much any of these regs and get out of the dive.

Hello there

I have an Apeks XTX200 Status and IŽ´m very happy with its performance and think the status option gives me piece of mind when diving.

I dive 100% in tropic water, but IŽ´m impressed of what IŽ´ve read about Titanium regulators.

Could please describe me if there is much difference between the one I got and the Atomic T2 and the Scubapro MK25T/600T??

It would be useful if you can also compare those two in terms of performance and durability.

Regards

I own and dive the MK25, and I own and dive the Atomic T2. They aren't even in the same class in terms of performance and features. The T2 is a far superior regulator. Automatic flow control, seat saving orifice, second stage titanium swivel, dual silicone mouthpiece, environmentally sealed first stage.
