As a follow-up, I ended up going with a MetalSub quick release pony bracket - really nice piece of kit, at a good price.

thanks for the input everyone, and happy bubbles, silent or not

- A slider system, either half DIY or Kent Tooling:

- Or a simple Zeagle Dual camband strap system:

I used to use the Pony Tamer system but it required bands / brackets on the primary tank.... Now I have the Quickdraw system and won't ever go back. Rock solid attachment.

Have you or others experienced any issues with the QuickDraw mounting system restricting partial inflation of your wing on the side where the bottle is mounted?
I imagine shifting the bottle more toward the center could help, but I’m guessing that might also affect trim and make things a bit tippy?
Appreciate your input—thanks!

Ain't no slingers going to fit under this port side hull plating with me and into the annals

Zero felt affect on the wing. You're not stuffing the pony against your BC or BP. Position it so that it's on a horizontal plane with your main tank or just slightly tilted towards your BP. Closer to your body is best for keeping mass centered but isn't that big of a deal with a small pony.

I added a 4lb soft weight in a cam-band pouch opposite my pony and life was good.

I had assumed it wouldn’t be much of an issue, since “usually” there is minimal air in my wing at depth giving the pony plenty of room.
Out of curiosity, what size pony bottle do you typically use with that amount of weight?

Thanks again for your reply!

Usually a 13, occasionally a 19 when in BM single tank. There isn't enough difference between the two to change my balance.

Yes - I have no effect on the wing / bladder as well.
The 19cuf rig with the reg + bracket is roughly -2kg in the water, I just setup the weights to take this into account. I don't feel it at all underwater, no unbalance, effect on the wing.

The only difference, believe it or not, is that does feel actually more stable than a single back-mounted tank, reminds me - to a much lesser extent - of the stable "platform effect" you get from twinsets.
I love it.
