Hi guys. This is my first post on the board although I've spent a bit of time reading. I know that this is a subject often posted about but unfortunately, the regs that I'm currently considering to replace my old US Divers Conshelf SE2 haven't been mentioned much. I'd like to hear your opinions about the following three regulators and which choice any of you might make. The three regs I've narrowed my search down to are the Aeris Atmos Pro, The Oceanic Delta 4, and the Atomic B2. I'd be happy to listen to any other suggestions as well.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Why is Apeks not in that list........need to do some more research before you miss out on a really good REG.

PS. Welcome to the forum.

I have an Oceanic and an Atomic B2 and if I had to choose between them it would be the Atomic hands down. I don't know much about the Aeris but Aeris computers are produced by Oceanic, I'm not sure if that goes for their regs as well but getting it serviced may be a problem as I don't know of many shops that deal in Aeris Regs. The Oceanic are good regs but my Atomic is the nicest reg I've ever used. I do like the Apeks a lot too.

I'm glad I have others to chose from.

I dive with the apex myself, the Black Pearl is my latest and most favorite reg.

What are you doing with the Conshelf?

And I think that you will find as many answers to your question as there are users on this board. I'll refrain from adding to the mess, and just say, go try some out in a pool if you can.

The Conshelf will become an extra reg for use during service on the new one or when friends visit to dive.

Atomic B2.

I rented several different regs before buying the Atomic. what a sweet reg.

some of the things i really liked:

breathes really smooth at depth. My deepest is at 95 ft so far.
breathes really nice when I am inverted.
the swivel.
fit and finish.
built by guys who left ScubaPro when they relocated.
2 year maintenace schedule compared to everybody else's annual.

bad thing: cost but then it is life support.

Aeris and Oceanic (as well as Pelagic Pressure Systems who makes their computers, as well as Sherwood’s etc.) are the same company. I’ve had the chance to try the Oceanic’s CDX4/Zeta and Delta 3 and was quite impressed (especially by the Zeta) but I my experience with a CDX/Alpha 7 was not so good.

Another happy Apeks user here (ATX200)—avoid the limited edition Black Pearl unless you want to pay more just for looks. The ATX100, ATX50, as well as the older TX100, DS4/TX50 (also sold as Zeagle Flathead Six and Tech-50D) will also serve you well.

I also used a Scubapro MK20/S600 for a long time and have nothing but praise for this reg—the MK20 is now discontinued so I will recommend a MK25/G250 (cheaper and probably just as good, if not better, than the smaller and internally very similar S600) as the best bet for Scubapro.
