When I first read about this in the mid-90's, nobody believed me. I referenced the reports to my roommate, who delivered a "shock and awe" presentation in her marine mammal class. The other students (and instructor) were appalled.

Those brit dolphins sure are mean.
 
I hope they don't try and take over the world like in the Simpsons...
 
It's quite human behaviour really. We've been competing for resources by any means at all since the birth of mankind. By that definition you'd have to call the dolphins clever.

Never said they were dumb, actually from what I know of them they are quite intelligent.
It just goes to show you, that in the animal world and ours, we fight over limited resources, be it water food or (heaven forbid) oil.
