Umbi's value, as I mentioned in my initial reply, is with their packages where they combine a short liveaboard, daily boar diving, accommodation and meals. For example:

Of course, others may disagree.

I was looking at their website, and I realized it would be a great place for a four-day liveaboard with a week of boat and shore diving.

If you don't mind, I have a few questions for you:

1. What are their liveaboards' quality and safety standards like?

2. What is the quality of the shore diving at their resort? Is it suitable for photographers?

3. Are the resort and liveaboards suitable for a non-diving family with a diving parent/spouse? What about snorkeling?

Yeah decided Sharm will be a 2026 trip and more just for Thistlegorm and then head to Dahab.

We can dive for 2 weeks in Hurghada (boat we use always goes to great quiet sites) for the same price as anything in Sharm. So more sun = happier me and Hurghada is fantastic diving to hone photography skills.
