Looking for family friendly resort in egypt

Hello everyone,

I am looking to go on my first vacation in egypt in late october/early november. My wife does not dive and my son ist just 1 year old. So my main focus is a convenient travel schedule and spending time with my family but I would still love to get some nice dives in.

My considerations so far
- Marsa Alam is probably not an option, since direct flight connections from Munich (where I am at) are sparse in the time window I have available
- Hurghada has the lowest flight duration, which is a big plus given travelling with a toddler. People on this board have suggested The Breakers (booked out) and Fort Arabesque
- Sharm has at least 1 layover and in total longer flight duration. So I am wondering if the presumably better diving is worth the additional struggle

So I am leaning towards Fort Arabesque right now and kinda looking for opinions. What kind of diving can I expect there? I would preferably do dives close to the hotel rather than day trips to minimize time spent travelling by boat. Or are there better places in egypt for this sort of vacation?
