The lot was open this past weekend and it opens at 7:00 or so each morning. As far as the tides being accurate, I am going by what my LDS said to use for the location and they do alot of their classes there and are very friendly with the owners. I will try and give my Almost Paradise a call today to see if they will be open or I will call my LDS.

With all the dive you guys in the club are getting in, save one for me!!

btw, what is the name of that scuba shop in Hoboken? and where is it?

Izzy- get your gear ready, and get to beach 9 or DS this weekend.

Martin- Thanks, that makes Saturday mornings slack tide 7:07. Ben - I've only been boat diving out of Rockaway. How strong is the tide at B9? Can we get in 40 minutes (20 before and 20 after slack)???

If so, we need to get there early enough to be in the water at 6:45

For anyone not doing DS on Sunday, we're probably doing the 10:47AM north shore dive also.

ScottyK - can't this w/e - heading out to Bonaire for a week but when we're back lets DIVE!

the current at B9 can be strong if you get in the wrong time. bring your cutting tools!

On sunday last week I got in the water right at slack and dove for over 50 minutes. The current in the channel gets really strong, but alot of the interesting life in closer to shore between 2 breakwaters which really lessen the current to almost nothing. I am pretty sure of my times on this but I will check when I get home tonight and can look at my log book.

Somehow, I feel less sorry for you now ;)
We'll see how the weather goes. I dive wet, so the season is near it's end for me. Have a great time in Bonaire!

I'm a long time NE diver. I never even get my feet wet without my knife on one shoulder and shears on the other ;)

Hoboken Dive Center Way down Washington.

Here's a suggestion for our site. How about a page that explains dive tables and how to determine what time to dive at a particular site. I'm clueless when it comes to that stuff, other than "Hey G meet us here at this time." If I were to to try to plan a shore dive myself, we'd be doing a surface interval up in Canada!

Here is some good reading.

Maybe we could get permission to reprint it too.
