1998, Oahu diving the Sea Tiger, at depth, I found in the sand a sea crusted, 50 cal round casing, thought to be from World War II. Way cool.

I am up to a hair scrunchy and a fin strap in 30 dives.... :-D Fin strap is a Tusa... Fits my Aeris fins... woot for me. :-D

Hmm. . .

Most interesting was an upper denture plate.

A homemade mortar and some kind of large explosive shell that were soon confiscated by a friendly policeman divebuddy, who blew it up at work.

A mannequin - with hair - sitting in the drivers seat of a car in Huntingdon.

A recently deceased large barracuda, and my buddy had a camera! Fun posed attack shots!

Cool pocketknives. Jewelry. Money.
Wallets (yes, I always returned them)
A minibike.
Bicycles and cars.
Sofas and chairs and major appliances.
Dive gear.

But the BEST thing to find is always lobster. Mmmm.

in 100+ dives in lake murray sc have found the following items:
1000+ beer bottles
2000+ beer and soda cans
every 2 nd hit on my Metal Detector pull tab some old ones
1 10kt gold chain with superman charm 21g
25 anchors
19 purses with Ids gift cards house and business keys stripper shoes and assorted drugs (all given over to local police who now hate me)
1 lid to a convience store safe
1 9mm handgun with no serial #'s (another 911 reason cops hate me)
fishing poles
15 ft jon boat
35ft cabin crusier
30ft cig boat
14 ft bowrider
hundreds of pounds of bomb fragments
by the swim area
3 dozen sunglasses
condoms tampons panty liners(people are nasty)
a single 1 dollar bill
3 quarters 1 dime 3 pennies (not with MD)
60 ft total of steel chain
several full unopened beers and sodas.
and hair scrunchies of unknown numbers
tons of lost dive gear.
and they say lake murray is a "sub par" dive site

Human head......

:shocked2: i have a couple of friends that work search and recovery. One in Michigan and one here in South Carolina. Not my cup of tea at all. Last year I was diving in the Edisto river, the best I can describe vis was like diving in a glass of dark tea. I had about 2 feet of vis and all of a sudden a deer carcass came right at me. My buddy told me he found a deer leg. I told him I found the rest, lol
