I just want to take a moment to congratulate the nine new UTD instructors (including me). We had a great IDC and everyone rose to the occasion. The instructor list is on the website, Unified Team Diving (UTD) International LLC - (253) 632-5100, under class information.

And on behalf on everyone involved I want to thank Bill, Chip, Liz, and Todd at San Diego Underwater Adventures. SDUA was our host for the nine days and opened their facility to us in every way. They were gracious, professional throughout our class and we can't recommend them highly enough for equipment and gas. These are people who love to dive, love to teach, and truly support their customers. Their website is SDUA Home Page.

Congratulations all around.

Everyone I've talked to has said it was a difficult but extremely rewarding process.

Hey Jeff,

Is there a list of names? Maybe I just missed it, but all I found was the class photo. I recognized a few but do not know most of the class or who they are affiliated with.

Re the missing list of names -- I had the same thought/complaint. Someone (Andrew?) missed the boat by not ID'ing the people in the picture. I did find the list of instructors but thought that was a bit lacking since it doesn't identify their homebases (and yes, you get the info when/if you click on their names). But for crying out loud, why hide the information?

James Mott works at my LDS and is all fired up about this new venture. While not necessarily for me (I did the Fundies thing and did not seem to fit in), I respect the efforts of putting together something like this together.

The Tech 1 program sounds interesting, but my "style" does not support a completely unified equipment configuration. I just completed my Cavern/Intro to Cave and when searching for an instructor, the pragmatic approach was key. I don't mean easier or less demanding, just pragmatic as I don't believe that what works for one, works for all.

Just some random thoughts.

True, but what works for all by definition works for one
