Diving Friday with the Emerald. Can't wait to see the sharks.

Today we had 5 lemons, 1 tiger, 1 great hammerhead, 1 nurse shark and 2 goliath. Very blue water but a good ground swell on the bottom. 1 knot current.

Active day on the Bonaire. The tally reported back on the boat was four tigers, one great hammerhead, one bull, one lemon, and at least 4 nurse sharks (3 of which were simultaneously sucking on the bait crate when we went in for the second dive). I only could confirm two tigers, the bull, the lemon, and the nurse sharks based on what I saw. Donna was extremely chill; Alice went nuts on the third dive. Maybe there is such a thing as shark PMS.

Mike: how big was it? Yesterday, the JDC guys indicated a 11-13 foot one had been sited on Saturday: once at depth cruising up the reef and later on the surface. No one had cameras. Additionally, no one saw anything yesterday.

March 21, 2015 - Lemon Drop
Tiger - 2
Lemon - 3
Nurse - 2

We had the biggest Tiger Shark that I've personally seen so far and she appears to be pregnant! The first Tiger Shark was smaller and didn't come in close.

Generally we seem to get juvenile/young adult tigers over on this side. Last year Donna, one of the regulars at the Bonaire, seemed to be pregnant, although she could have just been overfed (she certainly ate enough for a family). This year she's back and considerably slimmer. That's her in the first two photos I posted, at least judging by a couple markings around the face. Last April she was gigunda: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe7HGVq3FlM

Private trip on Thursday with these players. 3 Great Hammerheads, 1 Tiger and nurse sharks.
