Except when a perceptive and perspicacious individual calls a fool a fool. It's sort of like calling a spade a spade rather than referring to as an entrenching tool. If it makes you feel better, I'll try to not call you a fool any more, perhaps I could be more P.C. From now on it's "nereas, rider of the small bus."

I can see that I will need to try a better (more comprehensive) explanation, with you, dear old friend.

Basically, only 2 types of people attack others with ad hominems:

1) lawyers, or
2) morons.

Not scientists.

It is easy to check to see if you are a lawyer. Simply look on your wall and see if your J.D. or L.L.M. is hanging there.

If not, that only leaves Choice #2.:eyebrow:

Scientists call fools, "fools." Sophists are fools, nearas is a sophist, ipso facto (that's legal-speak), nearas is a fool. That's not an ad hominem, that a cold hard fact, way beyond just a theory.

You don't get it, only you care what you say. Is it hard to live in such a delusional shade of reality?

I get that "scientists" like yourself hate god so much that this hate envelops them and clouds their thinking. And their hate spreads to anyone who does not hate god as well.

You thus appear to have major unreconciled issues, and that is not my problem.

Don't you get that too?

Whereas science has nothing to go with god, yet some "scientists" use science as a substitute. It is erroneous thinking, and as such it is its own kind of sophistry. You have volunteered yourself as a case study, by your words, no doubt about it.

I doubt if anyone hates god. I can understand a dislike, maybe even a hatred of some of the religions man has formed around their concept of god. I'm sure there is great distrust felt by many because of the absolute nonsense some religions and individuals attempt to foist on the general public based on their interpretations of a collections of writings written, assembled, and edited by men. But there really is no more reason to hate god than there is to hate the tooth fairy.

How could I hate something that does not exist? And even if I could, why would I waste my time doing so?

easy guys.... i havent read the 20 pages here (yet) but by the last few i see some name calling and raised temps so how about a small time out or a cleanup will be needed

cheers and many thanks

It's just neareas and me, I rather doubt either of us took much offense or raised any sweat at all.
