You seem to think that just because you say something that makes it so. That's a very, very, foolish concept. As an anonymous sage once noted, “Persistence is a fool's best asset." You definitely qualify .

Pot, says Kettle, you're black! :shakehead:
Have you ever left a post unanswered?

Yet another sign of brain death. <sigh!>

There is nothing in the Torah, Bible, or Q'ran scriptures about abortion, or abortion rights, or fetal rights. [Unlike homosexuality which is condemned up and down, no pun intended.]

Some church groups are activist, sure!

However they are expressing their philosophical views, and attempting to influence the voting majority with them.

It's just like slavery or alcohol. Neither is condemned in the Torah, Bible, or Q'ran. However religious groups have long opposed slavery and alcohol.

If you want to have an abortion, AWAP, I encourage you to do so. No matter what the stage of your fetus. In your case, we can make an exception out of necessity.

OK I will bite. I mentioned this before I think but ok. While the Tanakh does not mention Abortion, another Jewish holy book does. The Talmud. find more information here Talmud - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Additionally Islam has more then one holy book. A quick look at Wikipedia gives us a list:
Qur'an · Sunnah · Hadith
Fiqh · Sharia
Kalam · Tasawwuf (Sufism)
If any of those contain a discussion on abortion I do not know, the point is just because your religion has just one book does not mean others do.

Oh and a clarification the Torah is just the first 5 books of the old testament (Tanakh)

What does not leaving posts unanswered that have to do with what Thal said? He has tended to provide evidence for the things he says, were as others don't seem to. I know I have asked many questions here and in the previous thread of certain people, for them to back up what they have said with evidence, that have been left unanswered and the things that I have questioned have continued to be repeated without any thing to back them up. As Thal said, just because you say something is right, doesn't make it true!

I died in a motorcycle accident in 1979 and was rescusitated. I had an interesting experience at that time.
Was it just like before you were born? a concept most people can't grasp and are scared happens.. nothingness?

Rarely, but then I'm engaged in dialectic and that requires interchange to arrive at truth, unlike you: who knows the truth of all there is to know, and who would be happy to shove that weak gruel down the throat of everyone else on earth.

Thal, in real life, are you that dude who played Winchester on the old M.A.S.H. shows? If not, once you finally win this argument, I think you have a future in TV. :D

I really do not care what the talmud says, sorry.

Just as I do not care what modern christian fundamentalists say either.

Thal, my dear friend, although I do not doubt that you are an expert at foolishness, regarding which your credentials are impeccable, I still strongly suggest you avoid ad hominem attacks on others. As I said, only a fool calls others fools.
