Sorry Walter, I just saw this. When it was turned back on, the cap was announced in this post: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/site-support/340145-thanks-reactivated.html

The cap was a decision made by staff and after some feedback from the users it's been bumped to 25 per day.

Jax has commented in likely a dozen posts today about the THANKS button so you could probably make a decent profit off her.
