I'd be totally down to buy a TFX manufactured using Z2-style materials and at the Z2-general price point.

Perhaps there is hope for a cheaper TFX second stage: The video shows a model a top plate that is black instead of metal, and the venturi lever retaining screw is also black instead of titanium metallic. Perhaps it's just the render. But the swivel hose is replaced by a standard hose. Maybe it's the octo? Or just to simplify the video and not distract from the main valve...

That is a rendering. It could be depicting Anodized Ti (or some other coating like DLC) that didn't make it into the actual production product.

I'm more of a AWD rally guy....

I don't think it makes much sense for a 6-speed for a 4WD. Those are too slow.
