There's always the Ti regulator on the grassy knoll with Scubapro in its sights . . .I'll bet a really smart marketing guy thought this up.
1. Really expensive, so many folks won't buy it...
2. Make a small first run so it's quickly out of stock
3. "Wow! If they're out if stock already, despite how expensive it is, it must really be good! I'd better order one myself!"
Nah.
Conspiracy theory.
Or maybe sophisticated pre market research.I'll bet a really smart marketing guy thought this up.

Perhaps there is hope for a cheaper TFX second stage: The video shows a model a top plate that is black instead of metal, and the venturi lever retaining screw is also black instead of titanium metallic. Perhaps it's just the render. But the swivel hose is replaced by a standard hose. Maybe it's the octo? Or just to simplify the video and not distract from the main valve...I'd be totally down to buy a TFX manufactured using Z2-style materials and at the Z2-general price point.
With a hi/lo range gearbox....
That is a rendering. It could be depicting Anodized Ti (or some other coating like DLC) that didn't make it into the actual production product.Perhaps there is hope for a cheaper TFX second stage: The video shows a model a top plate that is black instead of metal, and the venturi lever retaining screw is also black instead of titanium metallic. I'm more of a AWD rally guy....With a hi/lo range gearbox....
