Spectre:
What would I use it for?
Quick breath of fresh air in case the diesel fumes get too bad? :06:

I think a spair air could be used to blow off camera lenses or something.

By no means do I advocate or promote the use of “anything” not to mention a Spare Air but I really find it funny how many people think Spare Air is a piece of trash. You guys and gals are great and I see you have jobs that allow you the opportunity to surf during work.

Can't ya think up a better troll than that?
How about "methane as a drysuit inflation gas" or something we can have more fun with.

I thought every one sued methane in their dry suit :06:

Does it have a purge button? It might have use to blow a lobster out of his hole.

Are you saying that spare air blows?

What model/size of Spare Air bottle do you guys recommend? I travel a lot so size is an issue but I don't want to get the 1.7 cu ft model if its just not enough for a real emergency. Do any of you out there use either the 1.7 or the 3? What are your opinions? Anyone ever used one in an ooA situation?

ok now that I've seen how many people are in favor of pony bottle setups, can anyone recommend a brand and make that is A) affordable and B)reasonable for traveling? Of course, I was looking at Spare Air because it was reasonably sized, self contained but quite expensive and according to all of you on this thread, also sure to get me killed.
