a couple of years ago. Took some video inside the cage. It was fun but next time I'm outside the cage. I'll try to figure out how to post some video of the dive if anyone is interested.

We have blue sharks if you go offshore on a charter. I am looking for a buddy who wants to dive outside the cage next summer. :D
I did the charter out of Pt. Judith two summers ago on The "SNAPPA". I highly reccomend getting out of the cage. When we got on site it took only about 5 minutes for the sharks to arrive, and at most we had about a half dozen show up. I tried the cage...but with it bobbing on the surface and 3 folks in the cage it was a bit like being in a martini shaker! So after about 15 minutes we all got out of the cage and free swam. Granted I stayed close to the surface so there was one less direction I had to concern myself with as far as where the sharks were coming from. As a whole they could have cared less about the divers since there was plenty of chum and fish parts in the water to keep their attention. Very cool...and bring your camera!

Ha! I can't wait for the Nancy Boys to read this! Thanks guys, awesome pics! :D I can't wait :multi:

I will be in Puerto Rico for two week in middle of Jan 2006. If he needs to visit let me know.

Listen up! I'm gonna ask for Moonie the travelling SB gnome to be sent up to New England for a visit since he hasn't been here yet. If you are not familiar with who Moonie is read this: http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=99528
It will be WAY more entertaining if some other NELD divers besides me and John get to host Moonie so I wanna know who else might want him before I put in a request. Moonie likes to drink and carouse apparently but you guys can handle that. I was thinking he might find too many dives with me boring so maybe somebody who ice dives or wreck dives or dives in the quarry might want to take him along as well.
Don't dwaddle, tell me if you're interested so I can find out when we can have him and work out more details.
If you get him, I'll take him ice diving here in VT and to the Keys in Feb. A bunch of SBer's from NJ ( XJAE etc) are coming up President's Day weekend to do some ice diving on Lake Champlain. We could get pics of Moonie with lots of SBer's then and possibly ice diving on the General Butler.
Let me know if you get him and that works for you.

I've got him the weekend of the 7th. If you want him go ask the MOK on the link. I bet he'd like to go ice diving.

I'm amazed at the soon arrival of the genome. We studied genomes a lot in genetics so I am interested. Maybe a few of us could take him out for a few drinks after our next dive. Anyone up for a pre-xmas dive and a lunch or dinner afterwards.

Hey...I'm not a Nancy...I'm a Sally...

Cool looking critters, maybe they will leave me alone if I bring them a nice milkbone? It would be cool to dive with them.
