If moonie comes to New England, I may take him on a dive (or 2).. Will need to get another camera.. Do you have any idea of the date(s)?

Shark dive would be awesome.. Went out of Pt. Judith this past summer on a boat called "Canned Air" and dove the U-853 and the Heroine..

When we left port we passed the boat that does the shark charter... When we returned, boat and cage were out.. A few of the guys I was with were "interested".. Will need to see if they are serious or not..

ALMOST all the local charter boats are done for the season and on the hard...

Gidds:
If you don't look or act like food they aren't going to bite you. Staying out of the way also helps and for goodness sake don't touch the shark! That particular charter has never had an issue and they do recommend you stay IN the cage but I am stubborn.
I will have to study up on how NOT to look like food.

Hey...ya might even be safer outside of the cage. A shark cage could start to look like one stop shopping for a hungry shark.

nah..
we'll call it "Open Water II"
staring ......JohnL as himself :)

lol...

"welcome to your shark diver specialty course, you will know if you pass or fail by the completion of your dive."

fine print: Payment required in full before first dive.

haha
Ah
i see you know the trade secrets...

Gidds I cannot wait to get out on that charter! After all this talk you'd better not wimp out when its time to jump in the open water. I will be happily in the cage, unless upon further research I find that there is slim to none chance of a jaguar shark showing up or me getting nipped by some 5' blue.....

So all the shows I watched as a kid about the sharks going into a 'feeding frenzy' with all that chum in the water.....was that all not true?? Anyone on this board a marine biologist w/ specialty in sharks???

I didn't say they wouldn't go into a frenzy, I was just gonna stay out of the way. If I were you I'd be more worried about me biting you than a shark, especially if you try flattening my conehead air bubble
