Firstborn Seahorse

Photograph by Lazaro Ruda, DEEP Indonesia/Barcroft/Fame Pictures
A firstborn seahorse pops out of its father off Singer Island, Florida, in the third place picture in the "Animal Behavior" category.
The male seahorse has a pouch on its stomach in which to carry babies—as many as 2,000 at a time. A pregnancy lasts from 10 to 25 days, depending on the species. (Read more about seahorse fathers.)

I'll post this here and on fb. I know I posted the event in those two places. If you put this out on another forum, feel free to copy my post and post it there as well.

To everyone who came out to the party,

You are all official trolls in my book!
We had a total of 54 people attend this here shin-dig and it was great to meet each and every one of you!

I can only say what a great time we (KBeck and I) have when we all get together like this. For some it was your first meet-n-greet. For others, it is a good time to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. For us, it is our Thanksgiving... Our time to spend with our extended family and friends (Yes Jenny, even you :D ), enjoy everyone's company and have a big turkey meal.

So, thanks to everyone for all the work you did to make those delicious dishes, and thanks for sharing in our Thanksgiving celebration! We can't wait to do it again!

Jim

Well, it makes for a good noon-time pot-luck :D

Jim,

Thanks to you for kicking off this shin-dig, to Krista for organizing all the logistics and to Walter, Turkey Fryer Extraordinaire! And to everybody else who came together to share fellowship, fun and food.

Can't wait to do this again next year. And btw, high tide for Saturday, November 26th will be at 8:45 am. Turkey omelets, with a side of stuffing, and mimosas?

To all of the people who follow this thread & didn't attend todays awesome turkey fry don't be too sad you can try again next year. Then you can witness for yourself what a great group of divers we have on Scubaboard & at BHB. Hopefully Jim & Krista will organize next year & Walter & Nancy cook -without them we would be lost!
Plus I am going to save room next year for Jennys Key Lime pie. In fact I am going on a diet NOW. Hmmm well after I eat all the leftovers I took home!!!!!!!

Our thanks to everyone--had a great time!! I finally found out what mur is, only to find that I had it in the cabinet all this time!!:amazed:

I offered you a reeb. :idk:

:troll: Hey everyone!

Awesome dive and post-dive BBQ. Thanks to Jim for sparking the idea! It was good to meet everyone. Hope to see you all again soon (I was the guy with the jellyfish do-rag shooting video).

My ultra-faboo dive buddy, Jet126, and I saw some cool stuff and I have a few stills from my video attached below for your enjoyment.

:troll: stay wet!
