Nice shots Jim. Thanks for sharing.

I just realized I didn't post pictures from last weekend's dive at BHB... Oops!

Future's so bright... I gotta wear shades...

I don't care how close you get, I'm not smiling for your damn camera!

Form a dance line... It's electric!

I certainly hope Sandy got the pics of the purple tipped nudis. I made sure someone with a better macro camera got a view of them on the east span of the bridge!
Some smallish stuff...

Come on Sandy... These were really purple...

Finally, un-edited... maybe the red nudi was just cleaning the purple nudi...

Or, it's "Nudi's Gone Wild!"

Well folks, Donna and I finally got wet at the Blue Heron Bridge this morning. We dived the East span and the water was pretty murky. 10ft of viz, not much more. There were lots of arrow crabs and Banded Coral Shrimp hiding around the bridge, but I never found a Sea Horse. So, Donna and I went to the South of the span out in the sand where the cables are and Donna spotted a pretty good size Octopus. He/She was hiding in a little hole and when I wiggled my fingers at it, out he/she came. Changed colors, reached for my hand and when I drew my hand back it scooted back into the hole. Very cool. Water temps around 81 to 82 degrees F.

Jim
You tried to point out the purple nudi to me before you showed me the black frogfish but I didn't have my dork glasses on so didn't get good photos or I got the red one. Love that weird (or aren't they all strange!) nudi Wish I had seen that. That flounder has had that bite out of him for 2 weeks if he is the same one I have seen west of beer can area
Have fun scouting for shark teeth See you soon.
Deb

HI Scott,

How do you get all of the little dots to show up on the nudi ? I just bought a macro lens and I still can't see the little dots. It's a close up and really clear (in focus) but no dots.(

6 1/2 hours bottom time at the bridge, 2 frog fish in the same picture, a mound of sailfin blennys popping like popcorn and nudi's everywhere ! What a FANTASTIC weekend.

I opened the thumbnail in your post with pics, and I could see the dots in the Flabellina you posted. The Flabellinas are really small to begin with. To get a really tight shot with your camera you might have to stack more than one wet lens to get super macro.

Nice shots. Sounds like you had a great time. I actually did some boat diving on Saturday, and worked around the house yesterday. I kept looking outside wishing I was diving.
