Deb,

Are you talking about this shrimp? I found this guy right after I got in on Friday poking out from under some wreckage. With some encouragement he poped out where I could shoot him.

Just did a little ID research. I am pretty sure this is a Spotted Cleaner Shrimp Periclimnes yucatanicus. It threw me because I have never seen this color variation before.

Yes it is & now that you mention it I can see it is the spotted cleaner but I expected the lavender color. It is a great find.
Have you seen the invasion of hundreds of Haminoea elegans-they look like the bulla (aka bubble)..I'd post a pic but can't. I have found them mostly under the boats off the swim area, very pale in color just like the sand, & there are lots of eggs around which must be theirs.
See you up there soon

Jim - No strobe & still you get great shots. I'll be back in the water in a week or so & hope to see you & hear about the trip to Bonaire. I have started diving again at home (LBTS) & have seen some great things so I am torn between the 2 places-made easier by tide times!!!!!!
Deb
PS & not so great things ie LIONFISH :(

Jim, this is my favorite of your sequence.

Rick- The day I saw you at the end of the dive. I saw those two

Francois, I did a white balance correction on your nudi, then reduced its size to 600 pix and did a slight smoothing of the "noise"

If you leave a little more of the picture as border around the small subject and then reduce it's size to around 600 pix the image will appear cleaner than it would at full size or larger (learned by trial and error... more error)
