I personally wish the media would get out of there.

I wish enviro-nuts would create a media frenzy around starving children! Do you think that would be a better cause??

I would also like to see people stop blaming the sinking of a vessel on a minister or the government, when it is the negligence of "some" of the crew of the Coast Guard vessel.

But I suppose that wouldn't sell newspapers now would it.

I wish everyone from other places would stop coming here criticizing the way we work and live. :no Fix problems close to your own homes...when its perfect then you can criticize about the way we do things.

Until then sit back and have a Starbucks and gripe amongst yourselves.

I have to get back to work...have a great day eh...:)

Ogre,

The entire side of my mom's family is Canadian scattered all across the country. I've visited Canada quite extensively and have even been into your neck of the woods, Vancouver. I've been to Ottawa, Ontario, Toronto, Hull, into Quebec and Montreal. I have even been up to Newfoundland which is likely one of the most charming/unique places on Earth.

The Canadians I know, there are quite a few, all are against the hunt. In fact I read that when polled the majority of Canadians were against the hunt.

I live in the west and was born in the east. uhmm...I don't live in Vancouver...again another person not getting the whole story ;)

I also don't believe everything I read.

I would bet the Canadians that were polled were in large cities...

You have your opinion and I have mine...lets agree to disagree.

"Man is a part of nature and the master of it! Get over it"

I don't always agree with Papa Bear but he was right on when he said this. But was he right? Well, let's see what the "Good Book" says. Genesis: Chapter 1 verse 27 & 28 says, "And God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

So there you have it folks! Those aren't my words. Those are found in the "Good Book". And if it says it, then that settles it!

John chapter 10:11 - "I am the good shepherd. It is the good shepherd who lays
down his life for the flock."

You are right on Terri! Some seals have to die so others may be saved. Good use of the scriptures.
