Thatch caye

Hello, I am considering booking a trip to Thatch Caye in August, staying at Thatch Caye Resort, and diving with Belize Underwater. Anyone been there? I would really appreciate any information you could provide? Thanks!

I used to spearfish with the guy who built the resort. Passed by many times to pick him up.
It's a mile or two back from the reef near Tobacco Caye. Sheltered behind another island. Nice place.
You can pass the cut at Tobacco to Glovers.
It's within range of Southwater Caye as well as Turneffe. Kind of centrally located.
