Hey guys!

Has anyone been to Ray Caye in Belize semi-recently (<5yrs)?

We are looking at going there with a small group of people next spring, and Im curious how the actual diving is there. Havent really seen anything too recent (a few from back when it was Hatchet Caye) but nothing recent....

We're shooting for late March timeframe (3-4 days after full moon) in hopes to catch some calmer clear waters and maybe some whalesharks if at all possible. I'm curious how the diving would compare to Curacao/Bonaire or Cozumel. Ideally looking for some good coral structures (ridges, swim-throughs, etc), but from what Ive seen so far it sounds relatively flat. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I’m in Belize (southern cayes), every few months and can give you some more into if you wanna message me.

Any updates on this location? We have also been looking at Ray Caye as a possible fishing and scuba trip for our family. Anyone got any new info? Would be greatly appreciated!

Ray Caye, is a nice well run respected operation with good accommodations. They have a dive op on the island who I’ve been out with several times. Always been small groups and good service.

Whats the sea life and reef health been like lately? Any pictures or videos of the location?

DougD72- I would like to know that as well. We were booked to go there in 2020 then got cancelled due to covid- we subsequently went to Coco Plum in Nov. 2021 and loved it but still interested in Ray Caye possibly but it is all about finding great diving for my husband!
