I have not been on this thread since October, in fact, nobody else has either. Unfortunately, my string of bad luck with Terics has continued. My most recent Teric has a bad battery, losing 5-6% of charge per day with AI and compass off. It is being replaced, I'm told, including a new/different battery. As has been the case previously, service by Michele and Richard Morton at Dive-Tronix, has been exemplary.
I bought my first Teric in May 2019. In Oct 2019, after 100 dives, the screen failed, and the computer was repaired. After just 3 dives, the AI failed, thought due to the antenna, and the computer was replaced. I dived this Teric on 115 dives between Nov 2019 and May 2021 before the battery failed and the computer was replaced. I did 57 dives on this computer when the AI failed in Sept 2021, again, thought due to the antenna. The computer was repaired, and I did 59 dives, before the current battery failure.
So, over about 2 1/2 years and 334 dives, I have had one screen failure, two loss of AI, and two battery failures. I really love the Teric, when it is working. I'm hoping that this time will be the charm.
