We are coming up to Sevierville, TN in October. I was wondering if there is any diving around there? I have only dove in Florida and the Islands.
Thanks,
Gary

Thanks for the good info everyone. I will be up there Oct. 14-27, 2007, we will be staying at our cabin in Wears Valley on Lake Marion (may want to dive it too). The only fresh water diving I've done has been in the springs around central Florida (most of the time, I'm in saltwater). I've heard and read about quarry diving so I'd like to try it. I will need a dive buddy! Thanks,
Gary

Be sure and give some of a shout, there are plenty of divers around here that would be happy to show you around. Myself included.

Hi,

Where is Lake Marion? I have never heard of that one. I dive usually Cherokee, Norris and Chilhowee lakes. The sunken bridge in Chilhowee I think is my favorite. Depth never exceeds 43' anywhere and viz is descent for a lake around here. I have heard of a few diving in the Smokies in a place called the Sinks before. That would not be far from Sevierville but current is strong and depth I think is max of 17 feet or so.

Where is this? I would love to dive a stream with deep holes (if that's what this is). Thanks.
