Am I missing something here. Is this just an exercise in the weights, or are we really worried about what a few ounces is going to do trim?

It is they that are missing something

I am now firmly fulfilled, have now read it all and there is no requirement to read anything ever again

It started out with wanting to see how much difference between various valve types because I’m in the process of swapping some valves around for various reasons and wanted to ensure the best matches on the given tanks… however it’s honestly mostly because I can be a bit OCD sometimes and having numbers makes decisions quicker / easier and it’s an interesting project looking at the variation in design between ostensibly identical valves…

You never toss one out, do you?
I see several valves there which look nice.

It's also good to have some spare valves sitting around, for those random craigslist purchases that come with crappy valves, or when selling a tank so you can remove your good valve.

I have three small bins of them, but those are a couple of sizes larger, and mine aren't full. I've got bits and pieces, Happy-Diver has a dismanteled dive shop in his house.
