I recently picked up a pair of tanks that I'm looking to double up, but need some help ID'ing them. I suspect they're LP85s, as they're about the size of HP100s, but can't find a marking to indicate manufacturer. Any ideas?

If they're the same size as HP100's then they're LP80's. LP85's are considerably longer and noticeably skinnier.
Since they say Galf on them they're probably PST, but you should see the P logo somewhere on the crown but I didn't see it.

Interesting, so doubled up should I expect them to be similar to PST HP100 doubles in terms of buoyancy?

After digging around some more in the forums, I'm thinking these could be Coyne LP80s? I'm also wondering if a previous owner painted these black.

Bingo - Coyne 80s. They did come in black so it's most likely original paint.

71cf at 2400 psi and 78cf at 2640.

They are about 8lbs negative when full.

Did you check under the boots for corrosion? That style weren't the greatest for drainage. Hope they are good.

yes, the guys above think they're coyne's and I'm not going to second guess that. -8lbs full is similar to a HP100 though it will be a bit heavier empty. More similar to a Worthington HP100 than a Faber or PST HP100

Thanks, good to know it's probably original paint. I did knock off the boots, there was some salt buildup that I was able to scrub off with a sponge, but otherwise seemed clean. Fingers crossed on getting them plus rated in hydro!

The hydro shop can verify the internal volume if you ask them.

If you are talking about measuring the volume ....no, not really.

We measure the amount of expansion/contraction during a pressure cylce but we don't care about total volume. We go by manufacturer's nominal capacities.
