Swampers DIVE CAMP Weekend anyone?

I was going to ask you how the underwater poker run would work with the charters.

We register the buddy dive teams early. Around 9 AM. While the DM's like you set the course for the players.

Then around 11 AM until 4 PM dive teams can get their poker cards at their own schedule and pace. The course should take 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

So if you are on a morning charter, show up afterwards and dive in the afternoon. If you are an afternoon charter, show up before and dive in the morning.

We will keep the max depth to 60 feet or above for dive planning purposes on a multi dive day.

Hope that clarifies the way it will work.

Then we all meet between charters for food and the poker game around 5 PM.

However, no one really has responded to doing this event on 3 posts in the last few days, so I am still waiting to see what the swampers really want. If they even want to do the poker run.

It takes 2 DM's to set the course and break it down.

I have never dove with you guys and gals, but would love to join your group and camp/dive with you that weekend. I am going to try to get my dive buddy to come as well. I will be there on Friday and he won't be able to show up until Sat. afternoon if he comes. It sounds like there will be plenty of divers there to buddy up with if he doesn't come.

This is a great opportunity for any diver who wants to become a Texas Swamp Diver to dive with swampers and become ONE.

Also I hear that Zinc will possibly be bringing the DIMWIT manual for those that want to get certified an official DIMWIT diver.

Sounds like a great time, wish I could attend! Have had tickets for months for an event in a nearby historic town, so must miss the campout. I do know,however, that I would have jumped on the Underwater Poker Run, Shawn! Sounds like great fun, and I'm rather surprised you're having a hard time getting many people to respond about it. But, you never know! Anyway, wish I could make, it- would love to attend a Central event that you actually attend. weeeeenk. Have fun!

Hello fellow swampers, divers, family and friends and new folks,

We are set up to have a great weekend together. All is in order to camp/dive and just have a really informal great time.

I will register divers for the underwater poker run at 9 AM SAturday morning. YOu can dive the course anytime throughout the day Saturday and we will hold the poker game around 5 PM Saturday night.

I will be showing up with some helpers Friday April 23rd in the morning to grab camp ground space for the swampers and then going diving with the helpers

One of those is Carrie who has been so organized and helpful this whole time, and the other is Mary. Jennifer will arrive later. Anyone else wanting to join us early to set up Friday email me at shawn.o'shea@foxtv.com
