Suunto Vyper--difficult to use?

One thing to consider about the buttons is that you don't really (IMHO) have to press the buttons much underwater.

The only time I use the buttons underwater is to turn on the backlighting (you can pre-set the duration from 5 to 30 seconds...not sure why they don't make this longer for nighttime ascents). Even with thick gloves on I can usually press with no problems
 
The vyper and vytec actually look thesame,
The real difference is that the vytec has a plastic housing that streatches over the buttons wich gives you bigger knobbs to press on and are therefor much easier to work with.
so my guess is that IF you find it very hard to work with it then you could go and buy the vytec plastic housing and use it with the vyper..
but this is just a guess that I came up with when my X complained over the smaller buttons on the vyper...
