Does anyone know what happend? Huish no longer has Suunto on their dealer or consumer website.

No idea. I know Huish gets really bad rep. They were great for me when I needed some parts for my Atomic BC2. Very helpful and sold me the parts as all their approved “distributors” never came through.

It was always odd that all other Suunto products were sold direct via Suunto. I never understood why the dive products went through a "thirdparty." It may have been because there was for the most part a real division between the outdoor and diving divisions. I say for the most part because the D3 and a few other dive watches could be bought via the outdoor division.

Well, Sunnto makes pretty decent overland compasses.

My grandmother of the "if you can't say something good ..." school would be proud.

I am sure a lot of us have a Sunnto compass as they are excellent. I will leave it at that.
