I got my Suunto D6i white a week ago and I must admit I have not read every paragraph of the manual yet but I have scanned most of it and yet I cannot find the page that explains what the heart shaped icon indicates.
The icon becomes visible when the dive mode is selected and all the icons on the screen is lit up momentarily to test the computer.
The icon is situated on the bottom right hand side of the screen just above the temperature unit icons.
Does anybody know on what page of the manual I can find this explanation?

Its for those watches that have a heart monitor not the D6I .

Thanks for that Captain - I had thought something like that is going on - that also explains the Helium sign next to the O2%
