Haha, here is my pet peeve for an example of Padi oversight...

Try going to any dive op outside the US that advertises being Padi-anything and ask to see their last air quality test results. ONCE I got to see some; every other time it's been: "We've not had any problems... even tho Padi requires that every Op using their name have their air tested quarterly and keep the results on hand - they just do not enforce it.

If you want to extend that fun, call 1-800-Pay-Padi and ask about test results for an Op outside the US.

Hey I just read the response from Eric the suspended Course director, my friend came through your program all the way from england and recommeded the diving, just before I came down you were advertising on your website that your still teaching, so I assumed all is normal. If you really have the clients interest at heart then take down the misleading information.

I also heard you were doing a cross over to SSI, as opposed to being just quietly sitting out your suspension which your say "PADI is doing mistakenly due to an oversite on their part"...suspicious. I also notice that AQUANUTS is defending you, no problem there as evidently you and they are working together,,,I assume this only from your cross links, considering you guys are competition for each other seems funny,, suspicious.

And why email you now you have not answered my emails in the past, and what can you do to rectify this problem..you can not do my certs anyhow, where would you send me...AQUANUTS in thailand.

Besides I have found a great dive company in Cozumel and they are taking great care of me, I for one will keep away from any company or agency your affiliated with, nothing personal simply a business decision.

Now for a change of pace can anyone recommend a dive center in DR, next stop on my new journey..

I did not read Aquanuts' response as being in defense of the CD. I can understand that you are irate about the situation, heck I'd be too believe me, but I saw only an assumption that the CD's operation in question might be Neptune's and that there were warning lights long before this incident. It was a pretty direct statement of disapproval from Aquanuts IMHO.
I'm not defending them and I have no relation to them, but I thought it's fair to just mention this.

Indeed, padi suspended me. The reason of this action was that I was running Alternate Location IDC's in Manzanillo...

Thanks for having the brass to come onto the forum and post your response Eric. I believe that there is always three sides to a story, but I can respect someone coming out in public and taking responsibility for their actions.

I'm glad you got taken care of and I can understand your reluctance to take Eric up on his offer to presumably make things right, at least a little I guess.
Anyway, good luck with your efforts and I hope you have magnificent diving in Cozumel to put all this behind you. Replace it with only good memories and dive log pages full of interesting stuff!

This is what I have been touting for from the start of this thread. I guess no one over there cares. A pity. But, you never know! Rumor has it that the head honchos over there are playing tic tac toe at 130ft. in shark infested waters to decide who is going to show up here. Apparently first guy to lose three in arow or go for the service comes on SB!.....
