Yes, in my personal experience the diving at Bangka was much better than P Weh.
Better corals (soft and hard), better macro / tiny critters, bigger schools of fish, better viz....

Where is the Maratua Atoll and is it any good. Unfortunately Ambon and the Banda sea are not in season in July August.

It is in the east of Kalimantan, south of Sipadan, west of Manado. Google Earth is your friend
