Indonesia is incredibly diverse...from Bali to Komodo to Alor to Ambon to Sulawesi....all are different. Some people like macro, some like big animals. You don't go to Lembeh for mantas; you don't go to Nusa Penida for macro. You need to keep your expectations in check and not expect one trip to "do it all."
Well said. I have long regretted not combining Bunaken into my Lembeh trip.

We did that "twofer" the last time we were in that area, and enjoyed the few dives we did in Bunsken so much it was a big reason to go back to that area.

Great report, many thanks.

What types of sharks did your group come across, if any?
Hi CW!
We saw a few small whitetip reef sharks tucked in under ledges...but none out free-swimming.
