honestly don't know... but it's impossible for there not to be at least a couple golf courses on cebu...

and with diving available nearby on mactan/ hilutungan it would fit the golf-and-diving request...

you'll have to google that though...

I'm the friend who was thinking about the trip and one of our group isn't a water person. I'm curious what the opinion is of the diving around Boracay....interesting? good snorkeling (for another member of the group)?

Xariatay, I'd recommend basing yourselves in Cebu as well. There are tons of nice golf courses within a 2hr drive from Mactan/ Cebu City. And maybe you can utilize some of the Mactan based dive shop for day trips to Cabilao or Balicasag. But don't waste your time on the golf course near the airport (Naval base course?). Horrible course in really bad shape. Try Cebu Country Club, they let public walk ons. Short course but well maintained fairways and greens. There's a funky course up north built into the side of a mountain, Club de Filipino or something like that. Interesting up and down course. There's supposedly a really nice course south of Mactan (Alta Vista?) but we didn't have time to try it.

no problem!

but take note, boracay diving is not the best diving in the philippines... if you've done bohol you'd probably remember the party more than the diving...
