Ah yes, the news media...such wonderful choices they make. I've stopped watching altogether again...

alcina:I guess I might be in the minority. I want to see the footage. I want to see the five or ten minutes leading up to the incident. I'm not interested in the actual piercing of the body, but I am very interested in what came before.
The family realises that the footage will get out eventually just as they realise that the media is trying to create a whole lot of fear and sensationalism right now. Terri is a strong woman who has been involved in the spotlight for a long time. It seems she also has a strong support system to help her guide the kids through this part and through the stuff that's going to come up in the future.
My biggest negative reaction has been the reports that he was filming this for his daughter's show. No one needed to know that. That he was filming a doco for Disovery would have been enough. To hear that your Dad died while doing something for you can't be very pleasant.
ohmdiver:It is my wish that any footage of the incident be burned only after viewed by the people who have to. (the fewer the better).
I never knew the man but I respected his efforts. May he Rest in Peace.
Diver Dennis:If he wanted the footage shown, you would deny him that? Why?
almitywife:tracy - you should know that the Irwins entire life was a media circus and they loved that life
this does NOT mean that the Irwin family owes me or anyone else a dammed thing BUT if they make the decision, thats their choice
the family has seen the footage already and i can only hope it was quick and painless and they can take some comfort from that
