I know this isn't so much Florida Conch related but as he was an avid diver and passed on a dive, not to mention everyone knew the man and may want to know if they hadn't already, so I thought it important.
He will be sorely missed and I am not too proud to say that I tried to watch every show he was on, even the kids ones. He was a monumental soul and a leader in his path through life. I didn't want to believe the news when I first saw it and it is still kind of sinking in.
I know he has added as much energy in heaven as he had on earth, rest in peace friend. I am saddened by his families personal loss and hope they find the comfort they need in each other and all of those that cared for him.

SYDNEY, Australia (CNN) -- Steve Irwin, the TV presenter known as the "Crocodile Hunter," has died after being stung by a stingray in a marine accident off Australia's north coast.
Media reports say Irwin was snorkeling at Batt Reef, a part of the Great Barrier Reef about 9 miles (about 15 kilometers) from the town of Port Douglas, when the incident happened on Monday morning.
Irwin, 44, was killed by a stingray barb that pierced his chest, according to Cairns police sources.
