With some of the really old Adjustables you have to replace the lever with a new G250HP lever as the really old Adjustable levers bind on the newest version of the poppets used in the G250HP (s-wing) as well as the new poppets for the Adjustable and G200. So in short the new lever can be retrofitted into older Adjustables and BA's.

Thanks DA,

I just got a few springs, levers and poppets in for that in order to covert all my adjustable metals into BAs. Am I correct that the s-wing poppets will work in this application?

Also, are the diaphragms interchangeable?

TIA,

couv

PS Any danger of you going PC on us due to your new local? :)

The s-wing poppets work in all of SP's balanced second stages except for the X650 (which uses a shorter version that uses the same seat and o-rings) and the D300/350/400 series which uses a different center balanced poppet design.

I am in the middle of a move and do not have access to part numbers but I believe the diaphragms are different.

Thanks DA,

I remember seeing that you were moving to the DC area soon in another post. Hope you don't start going PC on us. :no

My '97 schematics show the BA/Adj and the G250 using the same diaphram (11-109-123. That should mean that the design envelopes are compatible. I'm sure you will run into newer/other part numbers (the G250Clear used an 11-256-023) but I expect they will all be compatible and interchangable.
