Ah, ok. That probably explains why manufacturers mostly use brass for jam nuts. Except Halcyon (steel) and Scubapro (titanium) on the S620 X-ti (that comes with the Mk25T, not the standard one, which is brass. And I think Atomic started out using Delrin on the Ti2 in the very begining.
 
Sorry for the delay finally have pricing nailed down. A little higher than I thought or was told from another company.

Price below is from a company I know very well who build automated production machinery for the automotive industry.

To duplicate the Halcyon Jam nut:

As long as there was a reasonable quantity (50+) to amortize buying a tap & covering setup costs, it worked out to $14.83 CDN (approx $12.12 USD). 304. We can do them from 316 but the price goes to $15.64 CDN

Shipping cost would be from Florida.
