I got a laugh out of this (and your previous) thread because it seemed like a goof. But maybe, just maybe, you're really serious about your cause. If so perhaps you should attempt to make your posts more literate. Your grammar, punctuation and syntax are pathetic. If you want to be taken seriously make the effort to present your case properly. Make sure your links work as they should and that your "facts" are correct. (BTW, there are differences between their and there and they're, no and know, a period and a comma, truths and truce, I and i (what is "i"?) and upper vs. lower case. Make a serious effort and many of these good folks on the board will bend over backwards to support and encourage you.

Thanks..... i guess..... LoL

Brett-- As you have seen grammar, spelling and syntax are very important on message boards. I am not the best in these fields but if I have a valid point to make (not often) I proof read my post.

I am going to take into account your age of 15. There are some other factors to consider as your handicaps. You ran right off with the "I'm not spoiled." In my experience whenever someone immediatley deny's something they have not yet been accused of.. they are guilty.

License and Registration please... "I'm not drunk I swear."

Good evening How's your night? "I'm not smoking weed and there is nothing in my pockets."

Hi Andravious, staying out of trouble? "I gots no warrants"

Kinda late for a jog at 0300 isn't it? "I don't know nothing about that car back there... I did not break that window... I did not steal that car stereo"

You have some advanced scuba training which is not cheap. Your scuba rig is not cheap, you live in Parkland, your dad is a lawyer and your surname is Levin....

Embrace your heritage and drop the slang street speak.

To your cause. Deepstops and Debby are exactly right. Unless you have quite a bit of money flowing to and fro I would not worry about forming a Corporation. I had a Sub S corp and found out it was really not required for my meger side work which was for profit. I could simply claim it as additional income... but that is not the sort of thing a 15yro should have to know so you are excused.

After a couple dozen steps on the wrong foot lets start with the right foot.

Clean up. Do an easy one at Dania beach. Shore dive. Minimum cost and lots of parking. Be sure to tell people.. (and this is a pet peeve of mine) ONLY pickup the BAD trash. Bottles and Aluminum cans make GREAT homes for sea critters. I have seen concrete blocks taken out of the sea in clean ups!! WHY?? Concrete blocks are outstanding homes for critters. As a matter of fact it is Illegal to place them then pull Lobsters from them it is known as "Lobster Condos".

Monofilament. Anytime you remove even an inch of that stuff you are helping. Plastic bags are BAD.

When I lived at the beach I used to run at the surfline barefoot I stopped when I went to a rescue call where the paramedics were removing a LARGE hook from someone's foot.

Personally I think Ocean Watch was kinda a lame name to start with and obviously not sucessful.

Get your people together and then run a ScubaBoard name my group thread.

All,

This thread was fabricated for its entertainment value, right?

Good diving, Craig

I'm afraid not, but I believe we have Brett on the right track now. Stay tuned....

Brett,

I agree with Chip (and Debby). Just keep doing what you're doing and everything will fall into place in due time. Post your reef clean-ups here and people will come. Chip and I often help clean the reef.

Don't worry about being non-profit and all those details, there aren't any finances that need to be shown as non-profit that I see so far.

Yeah, but yours and Chips idea of cleaning the reef is removing the bugs!:cool2::cool2: :D

Congratulations. You realize don't you that being a Florida nonprofit does NOT mean you are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. That needs to be filed with the IRS and is very expensive and complicated.

Good luck, Brett. I am still very unhappy that you ripped off the Ocean Watch Foundation's name but I hope you do some good for the environment.
