Brett,

I agree with Chip (and Debby). Just keep doing what you're doing and everything will fall into place in due time. Post your reef clean-ups here and people will come. Chip and I often help clean the reef.

Don't worry about being non-profit and all those details, there aren't any finances that need to be shown as non-profit that I see so far.

Your dad can afford the non-profit filing fees and he can't afford a website? Filing a 501(c)(3) is a very expensive undertaking.

Another "THANKS" to Brian.

Okay.

Of unsightly crustaceans.:crafty:
Now THERE'S an effort I can get behind! Insult me as much as you want, I'll still come help with that cleanup. :rofl3:

Here's a thought Brett:

Get a charter to run a free (or greatly reduced price) weekday trip for any diver with a set shears that wants to come out and pick up junk and cut fishing line off the reef.

How to sell it to charter: running it on a weekday only costs them the fuel since there aren't that many weekday trips running. If they choose to run it with only six passengers, no DM is required (no salary to pay to the DM).

By running it on a weekday, I'm giving up a day of my vacation time (my commitment to help the reef).

Now run with that idea.

If you run into obstacles, Chip, Debby, or myself would be willing to help convince them this is a good cause.
