Hello,

This may have been asked already so sorry in advance. I have a sealife SL960D and broke the one of the links on the flash arm. I know they use Loc-Line and was wondering if anyone knew exactly which size to order? It measures 1 inch outside diameter but am unsure if it would be 1/2inch or 3/4. I was going to order the pliers and a pack of links and repair it myself. JBWeld didn't work! Any help would be appreciated thank you!!!

If it's 1" OD, it's 3/4 inch.
Don't even bother with the pliers, you can pop them on and off by hand with very little effort. Just order a basic kit which will have about 6" of line and you'll be fine, otherwise you can get more and experiment with longer arms like I did. I ended up at about 18", but they get floppy out of the water. The stuff is really cheap, so usually your freight is as much as the loc-line itself. It pays to get extra.

Thank you Larry C you were right they are 3/4 inch. I took your advice and popped them off by hand. I will order a replacement eventually but for now, i just snapped it back together. I am new to photography but doubt one less link will make a difference. This is my first time taking photos with a semi-decent camera and flash so it will be interesting to see how they come out. If I need to extend the arm then I will buy more links, they seem to be readily available. Thank you again!
