Solo diving on Bonaire

Not recommended from the BD dock or shore dives is not prohibited by certified divers with required equipment.

I shouldn't care about this, I dive with Dive Friends and have never had a problem

I did not ask about whether certs and equipment were needed from the dock. It was not mentioned. His direct comment was, "we can’t control every single diver and if they choose to go solo from Shore or Dock [it] is all on them."

Well I am going to Stand up for Buddy Dive shop. I get 12 tanks of air downtown for $100. Air or Nitrox. Grand Caymans was $25 a tank for Nitrox. You pay for weights. You cant take the tanks off their house reef. If you keep a tank overnight, they will charge you. Buddy Dive has Never asked me about dive buddy. But I Always have them around.

Have you thought out the logistics of diving doubles for routine diving on Bonaire? Are you going to switch out cylinders between fills? I don't think the system is set up to quickly refill your doubles. I've only spent 6 weeks on Bonaire in the last year and a half. I'm sure doubles are used for tech diving, however, I've not seen a single diver with doubles. In fact, I've not seen a single diver with sidemount, either single or doubles, which would be considerably easier to deal with. On the other hand, I've seen many divers diving solo. I have personally done 10-12 solo dives when my wife and buddy was not up to diving.

I finally made to Bonaire last August, just took my single tank travel rig. worked out great
