AZ Tony had a winner. On one especially graceful exit, as he was thrown from the sea, that water heater he was wearing (Faber LP 120) slammed into the rail with a cacophonous "gong" rivaling the Avalon clock tower at noon.

As for me, on dive four (the evening dive) I finally stuck a landing with a perfect two point dismount, threw my hands back like a triumphant gymnast, and looked about... only to be ignored by the rest of the crew shivering on the wall, and underappreciated by the on looking tourists.

Life is cruel...

Who was holding your tank valve?

:D

Ouch! This bruise is a result of spending too much time in the danger zone at the bottom of the stairs at Casino Point. I got pounded by a wave at a place that does not usually get waves. It cost me a mask, snorkle, & my dignity, but most importantly, it could have cost me my life if I had hit my head instead of my arm.

Get out of the surf zone ASAP!

YIKES Kelphelper! That is a monster bruise! Definitely a battle wound... I am glad it was only a mask and snorkle lost and nothing worse.

Take care,

Blue, red, yellow, purple. I mean, WOW, it's like tropical diving!

:sofa:

Sorry...Hope you get better soon.

Good advice Kelphelper.....the ocean can be very unforgiving....

Take care

that hurts just looking at it, Kelphelper. I remember thinking as I crawled up the stairs that there is less padding in a drysuit, so there is food for thought. As for the arm, a little arnica gel couldn't hurt...

Definitely ouch! Afraid I still haven't been back in the water to look for your mask, but I can't stay out much longer. Hopefully I'll dive all three days this weekend and find it.

Thanks for the sympathy and laughs! It really does not hurt unless I touch it.

I posted the photo for its shock value, reminding all to be safe in their exits. Keep that ugly bruise in your mind when you are near rocks or stairs!

I never heard of arnica gel before, but I did a quick search and I see why you suggested it kelpmermaid. Thanks!

Arnaud, you forgot green! And you make me laugh often! Thanks all. You are all awesome!

The photo did its job then becuase I was really shocked. I knew you got banged up pretty bad but it didnt look like that before. OUCH.. Makes me seem silly for complaining about my baby bruises.

When I dive the point I will be thinking about it and making sure I time those sets.

I would like to do the Ruby e Tygh but the only thing i would complain about is the drive over there. Other than that its a beautiful dive. =)

Ana

PS
i didnt see Tyghs exit so I have to give Tonyc the award for the body surf to the stairs.
