and I'm still jazzed over the underwater cormorant sighting! That was a real high!

I, too, Ana, will consider kneepads/shinguards for my next crawl up the stairs...

As I awoke this morning in my hotel room and put on my wet soggy shoes (shut up ken :) ) I still could not stop thinking about the diving. I had a GREAT TIME. I know I've said it like a thousand times, but... THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR HAVING ME OVER!!! A lot of times when you go and do things, you look back and say I wish we could have done this, or this could of been better. Yet when I think about this Saturday, I'd have to say I wouldn't change a thing and could not ask for a better day. Ken and Arnaud- Thanks for the tips. Hopefully next time Michelle can join us. Can't wait to see the pictures.
Just got home after 7 hours of speeding- so no complaining about your long drive home. Well, I'm off to dinner with my wife and I have to try to downplay how great the diving was and try not to grin from ear to ear. Back to work tomorrow,
Talk to you soon,
Tony.

Kelphelper- hate to admit it but I first sucked air from a SCUBA tank in the winter of 1961-62. By the time I moved to Catalina in '69 I had cut my hair short and stopped using mind alterants because I was teaching at a boarding school. I did grow the air back (see picture- would you believe I was in my 20's when that was taken?) for a while.

Tales of the 60's... heck, I was there. I can't remember a thing!

Dr. Bill

Was it at the same time you grew your infamous fangs?

I just wanted to say that this was an excellent day and I was very glad to meet you all. I had a lot of fun even though I only got in one dive. You guys rock. Lets do it again soon! Preferably not after a storm!
Great dive, great people. But next time I dive dry (hopefully!)
Maybe we can find Debbie's mask.
P.S. Ken , I saw the pics are already up on your site. Maybe you can post a link in this thread.

Skipped the diving today so I didn't get a chancce to look for Debbie's mask. Will probably go in in the next few days as they're predicting calm waters and warmer surface intervals!

TonyC- Glad you could join us!

Arnaud- You should have seen the fangs BEFORE two dentists broke their drills filing them down!

So Cal Dive In Pix

Fun day. The rest of you who got pics, be sure to post them, too.

Thanks

K

It was great to meet everyone and I had fun in spite of the gale force winds that were howling.

We should plan an OC and San Diego dive in the near future as well another Catalina trip in calmer conditions. I know Wrinkles will vote for the Ruby E.

had a great time. amazing how you forgot about the conditions top side until it was time to get out (nothing like 2-3 ft waves crashing on the stairs). have to give tygh a 9.7 on the exit of the first dive. that was a perfect pike position around the stair hand rail.

looking forward to some more dives in the future...
