I just don't log dives
Aside from the Hawaii Five-O entries, and the Jonah-spit-onto-the-shore exits, it was a pretty darn good day. Thanks to everyone who came by. We will surely do this again in March or April.

It took Jaye and I 20 minutes to get from LB to the Sepulveda exit off the 105, then 37 minutes to get through the tunnel and the 2 miles home - unreal. Four dives through challenging entries and exits, and the toughest part of the day is the drive home.

So Cal...

I'll post some more pics soon.

What a great day. You people rule.

What a great time! I have a few conclusions after diving Casino Point with all of you...

*You are all terrific and it was so fun to meet everyone for the first time.
*I prefer getting pounded into sand rather than boulders and concrete.
*I should wear a helmet the next time I dive Casino point.
*Get out of the stair zone ASAP.
*A drysuit may be in my future. That windchill was cold!
*We should dive Laguna Beach together sometime soon!

Kelphelper-

Helmets are not required most of the dive at Casino Point. Yesterday was an exception though!

Instead of spending $1,000 on a dry suit, spend $100-150 on a 3/4 length warm-up jacket!

Last dive I dove Laguna Beach (or anywhere on the mainland) was August of '69. Hope vis is better now!

We should definitely do these gatherings more often. I've threatened to hold a get-together after the day's dives complete with hours and hours of my video footage to put everyone to sleep!

And make sure to give the savings to drbill so that he can buy a DS himself :D

I WAS wearing my dive parka. I was still cold! That was a biting wind, but it is probably rare enough.

1969? Now there was an interesting era. I can picture you hanging out with some long-hairs in Laguna.... It was like, psychedelic man! You may have stories to tell in addition to videos to show!

Safe, fun, comfortable in the water and fun topside who could ask for better buddies. I had a great time and can't wait to dive with everyone again.

I don't think i can wait for April so a trip sooner would be great. Although I do have to admit I am a bit sore today so not too soon hehehe. And I think we should take Dr. Bill up on the offer to take after activites to his place...although we will need to take the later boat back since we barely caught the one we did back.

I will take you up on a trip to Laguna to dive kelphelper. So far its been the best beach dive I have done so I wouldnt mind squeezing some more in there.

Kelphelper- hate to admit it but I first sucked air from a SCUBA tank in the winter of 1961-62. By the time I moved to Catalina in '69 I had cut my hair short and stopped using mind alterants because I was teaching at a boarding school. I did grow the air back (see picture- would you believe I was in my 20's when that was taken?) for a while.

Tales of the 60's... heck, I was there. I can't remember a thing!
