The fact you boasted about how esy it is to get govenment leaglised drugs in Qubec
Yes agreed. There is a stimgma (rightly) against smoking in Western countries, and while they've reduce smoking they've also moved the tax income to other sources.
Unfortunatly there isn't the same stigma against obesity - you're not allowed to offend someone by calling them fat (yet you'r eallowed to call someone a filthy smoker) In Western society more money is beign spend treatign illness from obesty than from somking (and smokers are takes to such an extent that in effect they pay a surplus for medical care.
Now movign away from the shackles of teh West, I see that these programes aren't working. Living in a country where the majority are Western Expats I can assure you that the vast majority of Western 20 - 40 year olds smoke. Yet this is the age group who were told smoking is bad . So freed of stigma and allowed a personal choice it seems (unfortunatley) the young choose to smoke. And no, we don't have cigerette advetising either.
Smokign is still a leagal drug as is alcohole however pot etc in teh vast majority of teh western world is still an illegal substance and has a far reaching understudies effect. Yet certainly on this thread, smoking pot and being fat is acceptable whereas smoking is not. go figure
