The Micra is said to have bubble interference. I've read that in reviews. Maybe I have low expectations but I've never been bothered by bubbles while using my micra.

You'd have to pay me lots of cash to dive with some of the regs that have been mentioned here. Don't forget the primary function of the reg and check the performance, maintenance etc before buying.
The reg being comfortable is an important aspect, but it's not the most important one!!
What sort of diving are you doing now and what have you planned/anticipated for the future -
how deep
how often
what temperature (surface, water)
what conditions (salt, fresh, current) etc.

Being an Instructor I have to be a bit careful here but lets just say that the SP isn't on my list.
It all depends on what sort of diving your doing - hence the questions in my post. I supose if your diving crystal clear warm water and not getting too deep (say 15m's) then just about any reg will do. However, add some depth, strong current, cold temperature and you'd better start thinking about more things then size.
I thought all men knew that size doesn't matter! LOL.

I supose if your diving crystal clear warm water and not getting too deep (say 15m's) then just about any reg will do. However, add some depth, strong current, cold temperature and you'd better start thinking about more things then size.

My reg is an Aqualung Cousteau first stage with a Micra Adj second stage. The Cousteau is Aqualung's mid-priced first stage. Top of the line would be the Legend.
I've had it down to the depth limits of recreational diving with no noticable difficulties breathing. I have also used it in 43 degree water with no noticable difficulties. It's pretty good on air consumption. I've done dives to 120 + feet and also shallower dives of over an hour and I usually get back on the boat with more air in my tank than 90% of the folks I dive with. I don't know if this is just due to the fact that I am a woman and also very relaxed in the water, or if my regulator has something to do with it.
I find the second stage and the Aqualung comfo-bite mouth peice to be quite comfortable. Not everyone does. The mouthpiece has a thin band that rests across the roof of your mouth. It holds the mouthpiece in place so you can relax your jaw and not have to worry about biting through the mouth piece. I don't even notice that it's there while I am diving. Some folks find it annoying.
I'm not sure how my reg would treat a hard core tech diver. For someone who is going to do mostly recreational diving, I would recommend it without reservation.
