Do what you want, but none of this has anything to do with diving. If Opal's Dream or Scuba Mau were my first choice for a dive op none of this would change my mind.

Well said.

As far as Opals Dream formerly known as Scuba Mau, I had already had some doubts before the incident happened. The drama as it is happening now does not have anything to do with my first statement, but it does not help the matter. In the end I'll probably use Mau. The Mau that certain people are trying to portray is not the Mau I know, and I was letting myself get caught up. I'm walking away from the mudslinging on FB. That is probably the best thing for me.

DiverG - The Mau you know is still there and even better than he was before. He is completely focused on his business and really has his act together. As far as the website redirect, he was NOT behind it - a well meaning friend was - this would not be the first time someone trying to help has unintentionally done the exact opposite.

Boy..............I'm glad I'm not a "facebooker". Like some have said here none of this has anything to do with diving or the great ops they both are. As one who has dove with both, before and after all thats happened in 2011, I will continue to dive with both because of the people I've come to know and how they operate. I hope they can both survive and thrive after what they've been through.

Thanks. :thumb:

I am the Go-To computer guy for a few friends and relatives, for altho I don't know much - it's more than they want to bother learning. I always ask before making important changes. I guess that friend thought he was helping Mau get his personal following back, but went a little too far. Glad to see the drama dying.

TA For Opals Dream still points to Mau when one hits the website icon...
Still something to be unraveled. It hurts him more than them as it looks like he is trying to fool the customer.

I just saw where Mau from Scuba Mau registered the domain opalsdream dot com and has it re-directing to his own website. Clearly an attempt to direct traffic away from the operation his recently deceased ex-wife left behind. What is wrong with people?

Hey deepstops................stop stiring up #*&@ and start using the word "allegedly".

After all this is not your Florida SB forum! (just kidding Brian)

Allegedly I would have registered the opalsdream name before announcing it. Even if they like adding "divecenter" or whatever, opalsdream is an obvious choice as would be opalsdreamCozumel.

Like that's ever going to happen :D
And there's no allegedly about it, I read it on the internet so it must be true.

Fwiw, the person that registered the domain and set-up the re-direct is local to me.

Allegedly ( :) ) Julio from Georgia is headed this way in March, you and Tom should take a break from shoveling snow too.
